Saving on College Costs

Saving on College Costs

Tuition increases enacted by most colleges and universities across the United States last year, combined with soaring fuel prices and a rising cost of living have all converged to create the perfect storm of problems for college students everywhere, many of whom could just barely afford to attend in the first place, and who now are having to reconsider their choices.  The average tuition and associated costs per year at a private college start on the high end at nearly $35,000 annually for students living on campus.  While the state schools are comparatively less expensive, they too can cost a pretty penny in actual paid out cash, since scholarships are less widely available.  That isn’t always the case, but it can be a major contributing factor.

Apple University

Since the late Steve Jobs stepped down as Apple’s CEO in August 2011 there has been plenty of speculation as to how this changing of the guard will affect Apple going forward. Sascha Segan, PC Magazine’s mobile analyst, assures us that we need to all calm down because nothing is actually going to change. Apple University is believed to be the primary reason for this.  Set up well in advance with planning from Steve Jobs, in coordination with top players at Apple, Apple University was designed to thoroughly train the top brass at the company on how things are done at Apple. Apple employees from the top down have been prepped for the future — a future Jobs clearly made every effort to remain involved in, even after his death.
